Hello Everyone!

My name is Rylie Groves and I am the artist behind Glass by Groves. I have lived most of my life in San
Antonio, Texas and have held a lifelong passion for all things anime, manga and video game! I first got
my start in the arts with my undergraduate degree in Biological Premedical Illustration at Iowa state
university. Here I learned the basics of illustration including manipulation of color, value and
composition. It wasn’t until I returned to San Antonio in 2017 before I found the stained glass medium. I
am completely self-taught in the Stained glass media, but am constantly trying to find new ways to
improve my technique and designs. I take pride in trying to make every piece a work of art that can be
enjoyed for years!

When I’m not working in my studio I can be found playing videogames, working on new patterns on the
couch, reading manga or hanging out with my 4 wonderful dogs (Archer, Woodhouse, Jupiter and Io).
